PAMIS: Accessibility in the Arts - a short film

The film was developed by and stars 3 young people with additional support needs, based in Dumfries. They all work with PAMIS regularly, and have taken this opportunity to have their voices heard on the topic of accessibility within the arts. We have interviewed them, getting their insight into the subject in the hopes this will inspire further individuals with additional needs, physical disabilities and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities) to get involved in raising awareness! They have also written and illustrated a brand new multi-sensory story. These are fantastic tools for disabled individuals to experience a story, using sensory props, sound effects, musical instruments, etc alongside the story. You will find this near the end of the film, and is accompanied by an Education Pack which details all the props we recommend you gather, and also some fun craft activities! We thank UNCON for the opportunity to share the voice of these creatives, let's keep making the arts accessible!
